THE HISTORY / PAST
The site was originally part of Melbourne’s working port district. For decades, it operated as a timber storage and distribution yard, supplying hardwood and materials that helped build much of the city. The warehouses, shipping containers, and vast open grounds carried the grit and character of Melbourne’s industrial past. When the timber business wound down, the site sat unused - its raw bones full of potential but waiting for a new chapter.

THE VISION
The transformation began with a vision: to preserve the authentic industrial charm while reinventing the space as a hub for culture, connection, and creativity. The existing warehouses were carefully restored, containers were repurposed, and the layout was designed to flow seamlessly between indoor and outdoor spaces. Rather than cover up its heritage, the directors leaned into it. Exposed steel, reclaimed wood, and raw concrete became defining features, contrasted with modern amenities like state-of-the-art AV systems, climate control, and premium bar facilities.

The result is a unique “blank canvas” that’s now home to everything from international music acts and immersive brand activations to weddings, exhibitions, and corporate celebrations. What was once a timber yard supplying the city’s growth is now a cultural yard fueling its experiences.
